Maokong Gondola

The Maokong Gondola is a perfect late afternoon get away.

The "eyes of Taipei" it's called, because from way up in the gondola, going up into the mountains, you can see just how far the city spreads out.

And you can see just how tall Taipei 101 stands as it towers above the city line and mountains.

I suggest the Crystal cabins--those are the ones with clear glass bottoms, allowing you to see the jungle as you float over it.

As I said, it's perfect. 
Go up in the mountains, drink tea, enjoy the view as you talk with friends, and watch the sun set over Taiwan.
