Tyres

This is how the old tires go away.

Sometimes I wonder how the protestors who set them on fire find them so readily.
Maybe there's a warehouse somewhere...

Bicycle parking

Here's something I never imagined to see: a space set aside in the leveled, mall parking area for the bicycles.
And it's not under-used either.

Folks in the market

Here are some of the folks I saw in the market today.

Pilgrims.

Kids on their way somewhere.

Bicyclers going every-which way.

Police officers.

A barber.

And a gorilla.

Yes.

A gorilla.

River crossings

I am fascinated by this.

From the simplicity of bridges, where you have to cross the river yourself with your own two feet.
To the simple poled ferry for a few to cross over.
Or for many to cross.
People wait to get across the rivers and canals of the backwaters.
To go over just themselves.
With their shopping.
With their bicycles.
And--yes!--with their motorcycles.
Whoa.
Would you dare put your motorcycle on a boat like that?
I wonder if they've lost any...

There are many ways to cross a river.
Cool.

Wide load

Eight water tanks on a bike.
Yup.
I do believe they are empty, though.

Here they come.

And there they go.
