Sagar lake

Sagar lake is a man made lake just behind the Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur.  It was most likely used as a source of water.  People would take it up to the fort in pots, some carried by elephants.

Today it's a picnic area and a favorite bathing spot for these buffalo.

This time they are on the beach.
To be a buffalo, what a life.

Wandering buffalo

It's only just barely north of the city, but it seems these buffalo have slightly more of a rural life than some others.

There's a place in Agra where all the buffalo congregate for their bath.
Not something I see every day.

The cruise with views

One of the best things about the houseboat, is that all I had to do was sit there and the sights and pictures came to me--how nice is that?

In the backwaters, you get to see a lot of things.
