All lit up

When the cold weather comes and the holidays beckon, this is what people in America do to their houses:
get out large amounts of decorative lighting and go to town.

We took a drive around the county and found some well lit houses.
One in particular had a snowman frenzy going on.
There were probably close to a hundred snowman lit up, big and small.

It's pretty.  But I sure am glad it's not my electricity bill.

High five

This picture is from the stained glass panel of the Life of Christ in the Chartres Cathedral, France.
The Annunciation to the Shepherds.
It makes me smile because it appears that the shepherds are high fivin' the angels.
Awesome.
You bet: the Messiah's arrived? Give me some skin.
Good news indeed.

Chili snow tree

Here's my Christmas tree.
Chili peppers and snowflakes.
Kind of Charlie-Brown-esque, but it works.

Bearing gifts

Is it Christmas where you are?
Here there is little evidence that Christmas is a holiday.
Much much less than the decorating frenzy of the US.
Today I saw these two gift bearers and remembered that in other places people are turning everything green and red for the rest of the year.

Merry Christmas!

I wish you and all those you love a very Merry Christmas holiday.
May you be blessed.
