Songtaew
In some places it may be illegal to sit in the back of a truck where there is no seat belt or any other safety precaution, but here, that's how you get around.
And that's how I've been getting around, in a songtaew.
You can take a little ride in a songtaew with me in this video:

The noise next door
The noise I experienced yesterday was painful. The neighbors started karaokeing at 2:30pm and didn't stop until 11:20pm. And they had it on blasting loud, so I was sure to hear it all and not miss a moment.
If I was rather ambivalent about karaoke before, I now possess strong unfavorable opinions.
I took this video before I new it was going to be an all day karaoke party. The video's not much to look at, but it's about the sound, anyhow.

Shrimp is not a flavor
Here are a few, short thoughts on returning to Thailand.
The sunrise through the fog over the city--it's warm here.
Because shrimp is seen as a flavor, not a meat product, I can't convince the Thai chefs not to add it to my noodles.
Back in Thailand means back to one of my favorite photo-taking places: the night market.
